The CCC hosts different Family Connection Groups to serve the many needs of the families- Oncology, Sickle Cell, SOAR (Surviving Oncology and Readjusting) and Bereavement.

Oncology Group usually meets bi-monthly and is for families who have a child who is actively on treatment for cancer.

Sickle Cell Group meets monthly and gives families a chance to discuss issues and concerns associated with their child’s lifelong disease.

SOAR meets quarterly to discuss issues related to survivorship and readjusting to normalcy for those children who have completed their treatment for cancer.

Bereavement – bereaved families are referred to Suncoast Kids’ Place for various locations and meeting times that are convenient for them.
